Cookie Policy

This document was drafted from a technical audit of what this website actually loads and collects. It is a strong starting point, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Fill in every amber block below and have someone qualified check it before you rely on it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others tell us how the site is being used so we can improve it. This policy explains which ones this site sets, what each one does, and how to switch them off.
Where this policy refers to cookies it also covers similar technologies — local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — which do comparable jobs.
Cookies used on this site
Measured on 1 September 2026. Names and lifetimes are set by the providers and can change without notice on their side.
Analytics
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted without identifying you by name. | 2 years |
_ga_TN9MKEY74S | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps session state for this specific property. | 2 years |
Behavioural analytics and session recording
This site uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and navigation — and plays them back as anonymised session recordings and heatmaps.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Persists a Clarity user ID so repeat visits are recognised. | 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Joins several page views into a single recorded session. | 1 day |
Strictly necessary
WordPress and the site's caching layer may set short-lived cookies to keep pages working — for example remembering that a form has been submitted, or serving the right cached version of a page. These are not used for tracking, and the site cannot function reliably without them.
Third-party services
Some content is loaded from other companies' servers. When that happens those companies receive your IP address and basic browser information, because that is how the internet delivers a file.
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google) — measures how the site is used.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — heatmaps and session recordings.
- Google Fonts (Google) — typefaces are requested from Google's servers when a page loads.
- Cal.com — the booking calendar is embedded from cal.com. If you book a call, the details you enter are handled by Cal.com and by us.
- Hostinger — hosting, and Hostinger Reach for email marketing where you have given us your details.
Each of those companies publishes its own privacy notice, and their handling of your data is governed by it rather than by this policy.
Consent
As measured on 1 September 2026 this site sets Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies immediately on page load, with no consent banner. Under UK/EU ePrivacy rules, analytics and session-recording cookies normally require consent before they are set, and this site markets to the UK, Ireland and Europe. Either install a consent tool that blocks these until the visitor agrees, or take advice on whether you can rely on another basis — then rewrite this section to describe what you actually do.
Once a consent mechanism is in place, this section should say how consent is obtained, how it can be withdrawn, and how long a consent choice is remembered.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this or any other site from working properly.
- Google Analytics — Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics across all sites.
- Microsoft Clarity — Microsoft provides an opt-out through its privacy dashboard.
- Do Not Track — if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, tell visitors here whether you honour it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the tools on the site change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
