Klaviyo
Klaviyo, run the way the platform was designed to be run.
Most Klaviyo accounts use a fraction of what the platform can do: predictive fields sitting unused, segments built on tags instead of orders, flows that never split. We run it properly — for Shopify brands doing $500K to $5M+.
Built on Klaviyo. Flows on real order data, segments that refresh, and one monthly number per flow.
What we build on Klaviyo
Klaviyo, built properly.
Best for Shopify catalogues where the product data does the work: predictive fields, catalogue blocks and order-based segments are where Klaviyo earns its price.
- 01
Flows on catalogue and order data
Product blocks that recommend from what someone actually browsed or bought, replenishment timed from the median days between orders for that product, and win-back that knows which category lapsed.
- 02
RFM and predictive segments
Recency, frequency and monetary tiers built from Shopify orders, plus Klaviyo's predicted CLV and churn-risk fields once the account has enough history to make them meaningful.
- 03
Deliverability and list health
Dedicated sending domain, engagement-based suppression, complaint monitoring and warm-up when volume changes — the work that keeps everything else earning.
- 04
Klaviyo SMS inside the same flows
Where SMS earns its place, the text step lives in the flow next to its email steps, with consent capture and quiet-hours rules applied by area code.
- 05
Benchmarks and reporting
Klaviyo attributes revenue per flow and campaign. That number, plus repeat rate and email share of store revenue, is the first page of your monthly report.
- 06
Migration onto Klaviyo
From Mailchimp, Omnisend, Attentive or a theme app: list and consent history moved intact, flows rebuilt rather than exported, sending reputation warmed before volume moves.
How we work
Six steps, six weeks to live, then monthly.
The process is the same on every platform; what changes is what we can build inside Klaviyo.
Week 1
We read your account before we touch it.
Where the revenue is leaking
Every flow, every campaign, list health, deliverability, segment logic and the revenue each piece attributes. You get the gaps ranked by money, not by opinion.
- 01Flow-by-flow revenue and send volume
- 02List capture, engagement and suppression health
- 03Deliverability: domains, complaint rate, inbox placement
- 04Segment logic against actual order data
- You get: A written audit with the first 90 days planned.
Week 2
RFM segments from your orders, and a calendar built around your peaks.
Segments and the calendar
Recency, frequency and monetary tiers from real order history; lifecycle stages; a campaign calendar that starts with your seasons, not a template.
- 01RFM and lifecycle segmentation
- 02Offer ladder by segment (who gets a discount, who never does)
- 03Send-time and frequency rules
- 04Campaign calendar for the next quarter
- You get: A strategy document your team can run without us.
Weeks 3–5
The core flows, written and designed for your brand.
Flows and templates
Welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back and VIP — each with copy, design, timing and the split tests already planned.
- 01Copy and design per flow, on-brand
- 02Trigger, filter and timing logic checked against real orders
- 03Templates your team can reuse for campaigns
- 04SMS steps where they earn their place
- You get: Flows live, documented, with QA screenshots.
Week 6
Ramped sends, warmed domains, no spike.
Go-live without a deliverability hit
New flows go live in stages so engagement stays high and the sending reputation you have is protected. Campaigns start on the calendar from strategy.
- 01Staged rollout by segment
- 02Domain and IP warm-up if needed
- 03First campaigns on the new calendar
- 04Reporting dashboard set up
- You get: Everything running, with a baseline recorded.
Monthly
Subject lines, offers, timing and creative — one variable at a time.
A/B tests with a hypothesis
Every test has a written hypothesis and a minimum sample. Winners roll into the flows; losers are documented so nobody re-tests them.
- 01Subject line and preview text
- 02Offer type and depth by segment
- 03Send time and flow delays
- 04Design and layout variants
- You get: A test log with results and the next tests queued.
Monthly
One report: what each flow and campaign earned, and what changes next.
Revenue, not open rates
Attributed revenue by flow and campaign, list growth, repeat-purchase rate, email and SMS share of store revenue — and the plan for next month.
- 01Revenue by flow and campaign
- 02Repeat rate and LTV movement
- 03List and deliverability health
- 04Next month’s calendar and tests
- You get: A monthly report and a 30-minute review call.
Engagement options
Two tiers. The price is on the page.
Platform fees are billed to you directly by Klaviyo and stay in your name.
A 60-minute call with your account open: every flow, campaign and segment read, the gaps ranked by revenue, written up the same day.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is a Klaviyo agency?
A Klaviyo agency designs, builds and runs a brand's lifecycle marketing inside Klaviyo: automated email and SMS flows, segmentation on customer data, campaign calendars and deliverability. Retention Control builds on Klaviyo for Shopify and DTC brands, inside your own account, on a monthly retainer from $3,500.
What does Klaviyo do?
Klaviyo is an email and SMS marketing platform built on customer data. It syncs orders, products and browsing behaviour from Shopify, so flows and segments can react to what each customer actually did. It is one of the most widely used retention platforms for Shopify brands.
How much does a Klaviyo agency cost?
Most Klaviyo agencies charge a monthly retainer of roughly $3,000 to $12,000 or more, with one-off audits and builds priced separately. Our tiers are $3,500 and $5,500 a month. Klaviyo's own subscription is billed to you by Klaviyo and is separate from any agency fee.
Do you only work on Klaviyo?
No. Retention Control builds on Klaviyo, Omnisend, Brevo and Attentive, so the platform recommendation follows your catalogue and team rather than a single platform relationship.
Do you work inside our Klaviyo account?
Yes. You add us as a user on your own account, so everything we build stays yours and you can see every change as it happens. We never hold your list.
Is Klaviyo the right platform for us?
For most Shopify brands with a real catalogue, yes — the product and order data integration is the reason. If your catalogue is tiny, or you need marketing and transactional mail in one place, the audit may point at Omnisend or Brevo instead. We work on all four, so the answer is not a sales decision.
Our Klaviyo is a mess. Do you start over?
No. The audit reads what is there first: flows earning revenue are kept and improved, flows sending to the wrong people are rebuilt, and nothing is switched off until a replacement is live.
How much does Klaviyo itself cost on top of your fee?
Klaviyo bills you directly on list size and SMS volume. Our tiers are $3,500 or $5,500 a month for the work; the platform fee is separate and stays in your name.
The other platforms
We work on all four.
Which one fits is a question the audit answers against your catalogue and list.
- 01Omnisend
Omnisend
Best where email and SMS should be planned together and the team wants one tool, one report and a simpler monthly bill.
- 02Brevo
Brevo
Best where transactional volume is high and inconsistent branding or split sending reputation is costing you inbox placement.
- 03Attentive
Attentive
Best where SMS is the primary retention channel — high repeat frequency, restock-driven demand, or an audience that genuinely prefers text.
