Retention marketing for Texas Shopify brands.
Email, SMS and lifecycle flows on Klaviyo, Omnisend, Brevo or Attentive, set up for how Texas actually buys: Texas SB 140 decides how texts can go out, sends land on Central Time, and the calendar peaks around the holiday peak, back-to-school and rodeo and festival season.

What we build for Texas brands.
The same five services we run everywhere, each set up for this state's rules and calendar.

SMS retention marketing in Texas
Restock alerts, short flash windows, delivery updates and time-critical win-back — with consent capture that holds up and send rules that respect quiet hours.
- 03Ecommerce retention programme

Direct-to-consumer brands win or lose a customer in the first three months.
- 05Customer retention & win-back

Texas specifics
What changes when your customers are in Texas.
Four things decide how a retention programme runs here. They are configured in the flows, not left to chance.
- SMS
Texting rules
Texas SB 140 (telephone solicitation, Chapter 302) Tex. Bus. & Com. Code chs. 302, 304, 305
- Covers texts
- Yes, since 1 September 2025. Marketing texts became telephone solicitations under Chapter 302.
- Consent
- Texts sent with the consumer's prior agreement are outside Chapter 302 registration, per the State's November 2025 stipulated court order and Secretary of State guidance. Federal TCPA consent still applies.
- Quiet hours
- 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and noon to 9pm Sunday for unsolicited calls (§ 301.051); we use it as the default window for texts too.
- Frequency
- No frequency cap.
- Registration
- $200 registration and a $10,000 bond for sellers texting without consent, unless exempt (for example, existing customers of a business trading under the same name for 2+ years).
- Private right of action
- Deceptive Trade Practices Act remedies, and a state claim for TCPA violations of $500, or $1,500 if knowing (§ 305.053).
What we configure: A documented opt-in keeps a Texas SMS programme out of registration and the bond; texts go out 9am to 9pm, and from noon on Sundays.

Send windows
Texas spans 2 time zones
Central (most of the state) and Mountain (El Paso and Hudspeth counties, west of the east line of Hudspeth County). We schedule sends and SMS quiet hours on the subscriber's own zone, taken from their Shopify address, so a 10am send never lands at 9am or 11am for part of the list.

Retail calendar
Peaks: the holiday peak, back-to-school and rodeo and festival season
Texas runs 3 sales-tax holidays a year, and campaigns in those windows lead with the tax saving.
- Emergency preparation supplies the Saturday before the last Monday in April through that Monday
- ENERGY STAR and water-efficient products Memorial Day weekend
- Back-to-school the first Friday to Sunday in August: clothing, shoes, school supplies and backpacks under $100

How we work
Six steps, six weeks to live, then monthly.
Each step ends with something written down. If we disappeared after step two you would still have a plan your team could run.
Week 1
We read your account before we touch it.
Where the revenue is leaking
Every flow, every campaign, list health, deliverability, segment logic and the revenue each piece attributes. You get the gaps ranked by money, not by opinion.
- 01Flow-by-flow revenue and send volume
- 02List capture, engagement and suppression health
- 03Deliverability: domains, complaint rate, inbox placement
- 04Segment logic against actual order data
- You get: A written audit with the first 90 days planned.
Week 2
RFM segments from your orders, and a calendar built around your peaks.
Segments and the calendar
Recency, frequency and monetary tiers from real order history; lifecycle stages; a campaign calendar that starts with your seasons, not a template.
- 01RFM and lifecycle segmentation
- 02Offer ladder by segment (who gets a discount, who never does)
- 03Send-time and frequency rules
- 04Campaign calendar for the next quarter
- You get: A strategy document your team can run without us.
Weeks 3–5
The core flows, written and designed for your brand.
Flows and templates
Welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back and VIP — each with copy, design, timing and the split tests already planned.
- 01Copy and design per flow, on-brand
- 02Trigger, filter and timing logic checked against real orders
- 03Templates your team can reuse for campaigns
- 04SMS steps where they earn their place
- You get: Flows live, documented, with QA screenshots.
Week 6
Ramped sends, warmed domains, no spike.
Go-live without a deliverability hit
New flows go live in stages so engagement stays high and the sending reputation you have is protected. Campaigns start on the calendar from strategy.
- 01Staged rollout by segment
- 02Domain and IP warm-up if needed
- 03First campaigns on the new calendar
- 04Reporting dashboard set up
- You get: Everything running, with a baseline recorded.
Monthly
Subject lines, offers, timing and creative — one variable at a time.
A/B tests with a hypothesis
Every test has a written hypothesis and a minimum sample. Winners roll into the flows; losers are documented so nobody re-tests them.
- 01Subject line and preview text
- 02Offer type and depth by segment
- 03Send time and flow delays
- 04Design and layout variants
- You get: A test log with results and the next tests queued.
Monthly
One report: what each flow and campaign earned, and what changes next.
Revenue, not open rates
Attributed revenue by flow and campaign, list growth, repeat-purchase rate, email and SMS share of store revenue — and the plan for next month.
- 01Revenue by flow and campaign
- 02Repeat rate and LTV movement
- 03List and deliverability health
- 04Next month’s calendar and tests
- You get: A monthly report and a 30-minute review call.
Real retention work
What clients said once the flows were live.
Shopify brands we have built for. The same team and the same flows work for Texas brands.
We finally had a welcome series that actually felt like us.
Churn dropped, reviews went up, and repeat orders followed. That was the whole point.
Questions
Retention marketing in Texas: questions
Do you work with Texas Shopify brands remotely?
Yes. Retention work runs inside your Klaviyo, Omnisend, Brevo or Attentive account and your Shopify order data, so where we sit does not change the build. Calls are booked in Central Time, and sends are scheduled on each subscriber's own time zone.
What does Texas law change about SMS marketing?
Texas SB 140 (telephone solicitation, Chapter 302) (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code chs. 302, 304, 305) applies to marketing texts sent to Texas numbers. Consent: Texts sent with the consumer's prior agreement are outside Chapter 302 registration, per the State's November 2025 stipulated court order and Secretary of State guidance. Federal TCPA consent still applies. Quiet hours: 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and noon to 9pm Sunday for unsolicited calls (§ 301.051); we use it as the default window for texts too. Frequency: No frequency cap. A documented opt-in keeps a Texas SMS programme out of registration and the bond; texts go out 9am to 9pm, and from noon on Sundays.
What time should Texas brands send marketing emails and texts?
Texts only inside the legal window in the subscriber's local time: 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and noon to 9pm Sunday for unsolicited calls (§ 301.051); we use it as the default window for texts too. For email we test send times per segment rather than guess, starting from mid-morning local time. Texas covers Central (most of the state) and Mountain (El Paso and Hudspeth counties, west of the east line of Hudspeth County), so sends are split by zone.
When are Texas's biggest retail moments?
The holiday peak, back-to-school and rodeo and festival season. The sales-tax holidays (Emergency preparation supplies, the Saturday before the last Monday in April through that Monday; ENERGY STAR and water-efficient products, Memorial Day weekend; Back-to-school, the first Friday to Sunday in August) get their own campaigns. BFCM runs 27-30 November 2026 everywhere.
How much does a retention agency cost for a Texas brand?
Tier 1 is $3,500 a month, for brands doing $500K–$2M a year. Tier 2 is $5,500 a month, for scaling brands at $2M+. Every engagement starts with a free 60-minute audit, and the price is the same in every state.
Which platforms do you build on?
Klaviyo, Omnisend, Brevo and Attentive. We build inside the platform you already run on, and we tell you on the audit call if a move would pay for itself.
How long until the flows are live?
About six weeks: audit, strategy, build, launch, then testing and a monthly report. Each step ends with something written down that your team can keep.
Do you only work with Texas brands?
No. The same team works with Shopify and DTC brands across the US, the UK, Ireland and Europe. This page covers what is specific to selling to Texas customers.
What happens on the free audit?
Sixty minutes with your account open: every flow, campaign and segment read, the gaps ranked by revenue, and a written summary the same day. No pitch deck.
