The most affordable retention marketing agencies that publish their prices start at $500 a month: CLVmaxers runs Omnisend and Klaviyo campaigns from $500 a month, and Click Thru writes one newsletter a week for $740 a month. Retainers that include the automated flows cost more, starting at about $2,000 to $4,000 a month at Top Growth Marketing, Flypost, Retention Control, Stimulate and Hayes Media. This guide compares eleven agencies that put a price on their own website, and what each price actually buys.
Retention Control wrote this guide and is listed first. At $3,500 a month it is not the cheapest agency here, and its entry says who it is too expensive for. For the agencies that quote only after a call, see our comparison of the best retention marketing agencies for ecommerce.
Every price below comes from the agency’s own website, checked on 8 October 2026. Where an agency’s own pages disagree with each other, we show both figures.
- Eleven agencies with an entry price of $4,000 a month or less, plus two that publish higher prices.
- What the entry price covers, because $500 and $3,500 rarely buy the same work.
- Contract terms and extras: minimum terms, setup fees, one-time flow builds and platform fees.
- Disclosure: Retention Control is our agency. It is held to the same rules as everyone else on the list.

What each price band buys
The cheapest monthly prices usually leave something out, most often the automated flows. Read the entry price together with what it covers:
- Under $1,000 a month: campaign production. CLVmaxers and Click Thru write and send campaigns. Flows are a one-time build on top: from $1,000 at CLVmaxers and from $200 per email at Click Thru.
- $1,000 to $2,000 a month: a fixed number of emails or hours. Netalico, BS&Co and Medito Digital sell a set volume, such as 4 or 6 emails a month or 10 hours of work. Strategy and SMS usually sit in a higher plan.
- $2,000 to $4,000 a month: a managed retention programme. Top Growth Marketing, Flypost, Retention Control, Stimulate and Hayes Media include flows in the monthly fee, and most add campaigns and reporting. At Flypost the lower end of the range is flows only.
- Engineering only. Mgroup’s $3,500 a month buys a senior Klaviyo engineer, and your team keeps writing the campaigns.
If you are not sure which of these you need, our guide to what kind of agency to hire to improve customer retention matches the agency type to the problem.
The 11 affordable retention marketing agencies
1. Retention Control: best for $500K to $2M brands that want flows and campaigns in one fee
Retention Control is a retention-only agency for Shopify and DTC brands, working on Klaviyo, Omnisend, Brevo and Attentive. Its pricing page lists “Tier 1 $3,500 / month · Tier 2 $5,500 / month · audit free”. Tier 1 covers brands doing $500K to $2M a year and includes the “Full flow stack: welcome, browse, cart, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, VIP”, a written and designed campaign calendar, segmentation, deliverability monitoring and a monthly report with a review call. Tier 2, at $5,500, adds SMS, structured testing and loyalty design for brands above $2M.
What to know: it is not the cheapest option here, and SMS starts in the $5,500 tier. The first 90 days are the build, then the retainer runs month to month, with no setup fee and no percentage of revenue. The pricing page says that under roughly $500K a year a retainer will not pay for itself; a cheaper option on this list, or a one-time flow build, will serve a brand that size better. Our retention marketing services page lists what each tier covers.
2. CLVmaxers: best for small Omnisend stores on a tight budget
CLVmaxers is an Omnisend-first agency for Shopify and WooCommerce brands that also manages Klaviyo accounts. It publishes “Run From $500 £500 · €500 · per month” on its homepage, the same number in dollars, pounds and euros. On its services page, the Core plan at $500 a month lists a “Typical scope: 4–5 email and 2–4 SMS campaigns a month · up to 4 hours of flow optimisation”. Flows are a separate one-time build from $1,000.
What to know: “CLVmaxers takes on a maximum of five accounts at a time.” (CLVmaxers), so availability is limited. The monthly plan is for stores with 5,000 or more contacts, and the exact price is fixed in writing after a free audit. It is registered in England and Wales and says it is based in Europe (CET).
3. Click Thru: best for weekly newsletters at a fixed price
Click Thru sells “Done-For-You Email Marketing For Ecommerce Brands” (Click Thru). Its campaign pricing starts at “ESSENTIAL $740/month 1 newsletter per week $170 per email”, with copywriting, design, segmentation, a monthly report, a monthly strategy call and an inbox placement test. Two and three newsletters a week cost $1,400 and $1,980 a month.
What to know: this is campaign production, not a full retention retainer. Automation flows are a one-time add-on from $200 per email, and you keep them. The subscription is billed every 30 days and can be cancelled at any time. Click Thru lists an address in Visaginas, Lithuania, and works with brands on Klaviyo and Omnisend.
4. Netalico: best for Shopify Plus brands that want a priced Klaviyo plan from a larger agency
Netalico describes itself as “a Shopify Klaviyo agency for mid-market and enterprise DTC brands” (Netalico). Its campaign plans start at “Essential, $1,200 per month. 4 emails per month.” (Netalico), with Growth at $2,500 a month for 8 emails and 2 SMS, and Pro at $5,000 for 16 emails and 4 SMS.
What to know: the entry plan includes no flows and no SMS. Flow packages are one-time builds from $2,500 to $6,000, and a Klaviyo audit costs $1,000. Netalico is primarily a Shopify Plus development agency with hubs in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami, so expect a larger-agency process.
5. BS&Co: best for a priced rate card from a small US team
BS&Co works with “DTC ecommerce brands, mostly on Shopify with Klaviyo.” (BS&Co). Its email marketing page prices the Foundation plan at $1,323 a month for 6 emails a month (emails only) or $2,818 a month with strategy, which adds Klaviyo SMS, campaign planning, segmentation, monthly calls and flow optimisation. Larger plans run to 15 and 25+ emails a month.
What to know: the homepage gives a different figure: “$2,024/month to start for fully managed.” (BS&Co), so ask which price applies to your scope. The homepage also says “Month one is a trial, no commitment. From there it’s 6 months” (BS&Co). It is a team of about 10 people in Portland, Oregon.
6. Medito Digital: best for ad-hoc Klaviyo help by the hour
Medito Digital is a Shopify agency that sells Klaviyo work in monthly blocks of hours. Its Klaviyo page lists a Starter plan at $1,400 a month for 10 hours, described as “For those who just need some ad-hoc help with their account.” Larger plans buy 20, 40 or 60 hours a month.
What to know: the same table lists $95 an hour, which does not multiply out to the plan price, so confirm the number before you sign. There is a “Minimum 3 months commitment.” (Medito Digital). The Starter plan is help on request, not a managed programme.
7. Top Growth Marketing: best if you want Klaviyo inside a wider growth agency
Top Growth Marketing is a DTC growth agency, founded in 2011, with a Klaviyo service line. It publishes “Our fees range from $2,000 to $10,000 per month depending on list size, send volume, flow complexity, and SMS scope.” (Top Growth Marketing), covering strategy, flow builds, copy and design, segmentation, deliverability and attribution.
What to know: a comparison table on the same page starts its range at $3K, so check the real floor for your list size. “Engagements are month-to-month with a 30-day notice period and a first-month money-back guarantee.” (Top Growth Marketing). Email is one of several services alongside paid social, search and Shopify work.
8. Flypost: best for Klaviyo flows on a small-team budget
Flypost runs email for ecommerce brands on Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Commerce7, with Klaviyo as its main platform. Its services page says “our ecommerce email marketing services run roughly $2,500–$7,500/month”, and “A flows-only engagement sits at the lower end.” (Flypost).
What to know: a Flypost blog post gives a range of $3,000 to $7,000 a month, and Flypost charges a setup fee for new clients without publishing the amount. It sets the exact price after an audit and calls itself a small team.
9. Stimulate: best for brands at about $100K a month that want two dedicated specialists
Stimulate works on “smarter email, SMS, and retention strategy” for repeat customers (Stimulate). Its Klaviyo guide says its pricing “typically ranges from $3,500 – $6,500 per month.” (Stimulate), and each client gets two dedicated experts.
What to know: its homepage says “Investment starts at $4k / month” (Stimulate), so the real floor may be $4,000. It offers month-to-month or six-month contracts and says it works best with brands doing $100K a month or more in online sales.
10. Mgroup: best for fixing and maintaining a Klaviyo setup your team already runs
Mgroup is “a Klaviyo email marketing agency that works exclusively with Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.” (Mgroup). It prices “retained Klaviyo engineering at $3,500 per month” (Mgroup) with a dedicated senior engineer, on a rolling contract with 30 days’ notice. An audit starts at $2,500.
What to know: “We do not write your campaign calendar — that stays with your marketing team, running on a setup that finally works.” (Mgroup). Hire it for the plumbing, not for the sending.
11. Hayes Media: best for done-for-you email and SMS at the top of this range
Hayes Media “runs email and SMS marketing for eCommerce brands.” (Hayes Media). It says “One-time email projects start from $2,000 USD, and retainers for ongoing full management start from $4,000 USD per month.” (Hayes Media), covering flow builds, campaigns, copy, design and SMS.
What to know: “No onboarding fees. No lock-in contracts.” (Hayes Media). It says it suits brands doing at least $100K a month, or with the budget to get there, and its site does not state where the company is based.
Published, but above $4,000 a month
Two more agencies publish prices that sit above this guide’s line:
- The Email Marketers, a Los Angeles agency for 7 to 9-figure ecommerce brands: “The Email Marketers starts at $4,400/mo, averages $6,500/mo, and runs to $18,000/mo at full scope.” (The Email Marketers).
- YOCTO, a Klaviyo agency in Nicosia, Cyprus, for DTC and subscription brands: “€5,500/mo or €4,675/mo on a 12-month plan For brands building their retention engine” (YOCTO).
Costs that sit outside the agency fee
- The platform. Klaviyo, Omnisend and the other platforms bill you directly, and the cost rises with your list. Our Klaviyo pricing guide explains how.
- SMS messages. Sending costs are billed by the platform, separately from any agency plan that includes SMS.
- One-time flow builds. Several of the cheapest plans exclude flows: CLVmaxers, Click Thru and Netalico all price them as separate projects.
- Setup fees and audits. Flypost charges a setup fee; Netalico’s audit is $1,000 and Mgroup’s starts at $2,500. Retention Control and Hayes Media charge no setup fee, and CLVmaxers’ audit is free.
- Minimum terms. Medito Digital asks for 3 months, BS&Co for 6 months after a trial month, and Retention Control for the first 90 days.
How to compare published prices fairly
- Count the emails. Click Thru’s entry plan works out at $170 per newsletter; BS&Co’s emails-only plan is 6 emails for $1,323. Put every quote on the same basis.
- Check whether flows are included. A plan without flows is a newsletter service, which is fine if your flows already work.
- Check whether SMS is included. At most agencies here, SMS starts one plan up.
- Ask who writes and designs. Mgroup does not write campaigns at all; most of the others do.
- Read the contract before the price. A cheaper plan with a six-month term can cost more than a dearer one you can leave after 30 days.

How we chose these agencies
We searched for retention and email marketing agencies that serve ecommerce brands and publish a price on their own website, then checked every figure on the agency’s own pages on 8 October 2026. Directory listings, review sites and other agencies’ lists were used only to find candidates, never as the source of a price.
Most agencies we looked at publish no price and quote after a call, including Sticky Digital, Flowium and Andzen from our main comparison. Propel used to show a monthly price, but its visible pricing page no longer gives a figure, so it is not listed. We excluded agencies whose pricing was behind a password or a quiz, and generalist agencies that sell email as one of many services. Prices change, so confirm the current figure with the agency before you budget.
Final thoughts
An affordable retention agency is the one whose price covers the work you actually need. If your flows already earn, a $500 to $1,400 campaign plan may be enough. If customers buy once and never return, budget for a $2,000 to $4,000 programme that includes flows, segmentation and reporting, and compare every quote on the same basis before you sign.
